No fee, it's absolutely free.

Do I get paid by you or by the ad space purchaser?
Since you are getting all of the money associated with the first year's ad space sale, we prefer that you work your deal independently with the ad purchaser. Upon your instruction, we will issue a YTV receipt stating that the ad purchaser gets the ad space for 1 year to help you to close your deal and legitimize the transaction. In the event that the purchaser insists on paying YTV, currently we will do it but because we presently are using Paypal exclusively for paying and receiving funds, the amount you receive will be reduced by Paypal fees. Since the receiver of the funds pays the fees, you will get charged for when we receive the payment from the purchaser and also when we pay you. We don't make any money on the transaction-it cost us money to do it for you. How do I know this is legit?
We aren't asking you for any money. We are accredited members of the Central Texas Better Business Bureau with an A rating. If you consider our objectives, it's obvious that it's counter productive to be deceptive.

What ARE your objectives?
We want to be known for our integrity and commitment to providing unparalleled data sources, including honest user generated videos on places to stay, restaurants and things to do. Because we don't prioritize search results based on who pays the most, and the fact that we provide the additional resource links to other sites that may have valuable information, we believe our users will appreciate our commitment to putting the user first, and not the bottom line. Additionally, our business plan calls for half the "main ad" revenue after the first year to be given to a charity/cause of the ad purchaser's choice. This includes students, charities and whatever the ad purchaser deems is a legitimate cause. We hope that this is not abused in the future and that legitimate causes benefit from this policy. We intend to monitor it closely.

Do I have to be an authorized rep to submit a video?
No, in fact, we anticipate most people submitting videos won't be reps. It will be like the other review sites where people can post positive or negative feedback but since it's video, it's much more honest and powerful.

What are the different ways I can make money with YTV as an authorized rep?
1) Shoot videos and open new Location Accounts, sell the ad. 2) Find qualifying videos on the internet and open new Location Accounts with those, sell the ad. 3) Find people who have qualifying travel videos that haven't been posted on YouTube and get them to post them so you can use them to open new Location Accounts and sell the main ad. 4) Sell the ad on existing Location Account pages ADDITIONALLY (and you don't have to be an Authorized Rep) you can make money (for you or a cause) by just submitting videos without selling the ad or talking to anyone (see our "what's in it for me" page).

If I open a new Location Account, can anybody sell the ad on that page, even though I submitted the video to open it?
As a YTV authorized rep, you get 10 days from the open date to sell the ad. Then any YTV rep can sell it. All existing Location Accounts whose main ad hasn't been sold yet are available to any YTV rep.

What do I do if the Location Account doesn't want to pay the $98 for the main ad on their page?
Since it's your deal, you have a lot of choices. You can offer to take less money or trade out or sell it to someone else. Obviously, a competitor would be a good prospect for the ad space. If you trade out, you can get a coupon outlining the purchaser's IOU to you and then sell that.

Do I have to use the flier?
No, but you will see that the flier makes it easy to show what the site and the location pages look like. You can also use the videos, including the one you can download into your phone, to sell our deal.

Do you have any marketing tips?
Yes...1) Try to get to the decision maker. If you can't, populate the page so you can show whoever is there and try to leave a brochure with that Location Page's account # in the alloted space, 2) remember, it's much better for you if the purchaser sees their own page - use that resource to your advantage, 3) one on one personal contact is always better than just using the phone but if you are doing this from home, then of course, this isn't an option, 4) when generating new accounts by filming videos, shoot and submit the vid, then tell the account you will be back soon with the results, then go to another shoot or two and do the same, then come back to your first shoots whose pages should now be populated, 5) have access to your email so that when we approve a video, you get the notification immediately, so you don't have to continually search for the new Location Account. The notification will identify the Location Account name and give you their account number so it's easy for you to find the page. You will also want to verify that the geo location is correct on the map, further illustrating to the Location Account that they are now listed for our users to see.

How do I get started?
First watch the "Make Money" video (very important). Then read the Authorized Rep Agreement (also very important). There is stuff in there that is important for you to know. Don't blow it off and not read it like many do. You may regret it later. Then read our Terms of Service and register as an authorized rep. Then, if applicable, download our mobile app for use in uploading videos you may shoot. Right now, only the Droid version is available but IOS is coming. Of course, you can use our website to submit videos also.
